Main Street Residence

A contemporary twist on a classic farmhouse design was the inspiration for this character bungalow home in a city neighbourhood with many parks and greenery. 

This renovation to an original '60's house was opened up and modernized to create a family friendly space. What was a dark and closed in main floor was transformed into an airy, open space by making the kitchen the heart of the home and central focal point. The basement space plan was reconstructed to include two bedrooms with a shared bath, a large play area / den and a separate back entry with laundry.

The final product was a bright and warm space with clever space planning perfect for a growing family.
